Ecuadoreans love to celebrate. Even though there is often little money for gifts or lavish buffets, they always find great joy in being together with family and friends. This year, we added a new component to our annual Agape Christmas celebration by including the entire family – not just the child. This way the parents were able to share in the celebration of God’s love with their children. We spread the events over several days and locations in order to bring the “party” to the kids at various schools and ministry centers throughout our area.

Our largest event was with the children from our Agua Viva ministry center. Here, the children performed a play depicting the story of the birth of our Savior for their parents and family members. As with any performance including small children, it was full of adorable surprises while serving as an impacting way of sharing the Gospel with their parents.

We are so grateful to everyone who partnered with us to make possible the gifts of toys, candy, clothing and family food bags. Thank you for helping us share God’s love with so many this Agape Christmas.
